The build quality on this seems to be as good as a Ninty controller. This isn't one of those crunchy third party controllers you throw in a draw and only take out if you have a bunch of people over and not enough controllers. Twilight Princess, Windwaker, Four Swords, with probably the most Zelda controller ever? Sure. On a softmodded Wii it's a whole different story. On an unmodified Wii you absolutely can NOT use this with GameCube games. You plug it into the Wiimote and you can use it with Virtual Console games, WiiWare games, and a couple dozen Wii games, including Mario Kart and Smash etc. On an unmodified Wii this works exactly the same as any other Wii Classic controller. It was/is an slightly innovative tweener system that is more of a Wii Hybrid, not it’s own system… the HD Sega CD with a tablet controller.Firstly, this is a Classic Controller, not a GameCube controller. It seems like Starfox might change that from the little I saw… but at this rate, that game will be here at the ebd of the 4th year of the system… a little later than i would have liked. I enjoyed the use of the ship in the Metroid portion of… what is it, Nintendo Land or whatever… but nothing like that yet. I like the gamepad, but the use of its motion control are maybe one of the more intriguing aspects, but sadly one they have not adequately utilized. I am certainly not going on their web browser. It makes watching netflix and other non game related apps, more of a chore. Perhaps I am gaga over the shiny new toy and a sucker for the HD, but it is only a more powerful wii, with a slow operating system. You are right on those points… the Wii U OS is a grand disappointment and that is too bad.
